“Please pass my congratulations to all Telford College lecturers who took strike action on Wednesday in defence of the vital education you provide to the people of North Edinburgh. It is not acceptable to keep the extensive reserves available to your management, in the bank, while lecturers' jobs and conditions are under threat.
We have a vital role to play in training and retraining Scotland's unemployed and young people. The magnificent strike this term, and that planned for next term is the sort of action that can hopefully bring the College Board to its senses.
Here's to your victory against these completely unnecessary cuts.”
Yours in solidarity
Penny Gower
